Shift Calendar ("the app", "we", "us") helps shift workers track and plan their work schedules. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are committed to keeping your data minimal and secure.

Information We Collect

Account information. If you create an account to sync across devices, we store your email address and an encrypted (hashed) password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we store a unique identifier provided by that service and your verified email address. We never receive or store your Google or Apple password.
Schedule data. When cloud sync is enabled, the shift schedule settings and calendar overrides you create are stored so they can be synced to your other devices.

If you do not create an account, your schedule data stays only on your device and is not sent to us.

How We Use Your Information

To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
To sync your schedule across the devices where you are signed in.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for tracking across other apps or websites.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your account and synced data are kept until you delete them. You can permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from within the app: open Settings → Delete Account. This removes your account record and all synced schedule data from our servers and cannot be undone.

Data Security

Passwords are stored using one-way hashing, and data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
